Privacy Policy

This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their 'Personally Identifiable Information' (PII) is being used online. PII, as described in Indonesia privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with our app.

1. Sharing data

We never share your data with anyone. To this day, we have disclosed our user data to third parties, including governments.

2. Storing data

Velox Messenger only stores the data it needs to function properly — for as long as you want Velox Messenger to function.

Your Account Information.

You provide your mobile phone number and email address to create a Velox Messenger account. You provide us the phone numbers in your mobile address book on a regular basis, including those of both the users of our Services and your other contacts. You confirm you are authorized to provide us such numbers. You may also add other information to your account, such as a profile name, profile picture, and status message.

Cloud Chats.

Velox Messenger is a cloud service. We store messages, photos, videos and documents from your cloud chats on our servers. All data is stored heavily encrypted and the encryption keys in each case are stored in several other DCs in different jurisdictions. This way local engineers or physical intruders cannot get access to user data.

Contact.

Velox Messenger uses phone numbers as unique identifiers, so that it is easy for you to switch from other messaging apps (SMS, Velox Messenger, etc.) and retain your social graph. We ask your permission before syncing your contacts.
We store your contacts in order to notify you as soon as one of your contacts signs up for Velox Messenger and to properly display names in notifications. We only need the number and name (first and last) for this to work and store no other data about your contacts.

3. Automatically Collected Information

Usage and Log Information.

We collect service-related, diagnostic, and performance information. This includes information about your activity (such as how you use our Services, how you interact with others using our Services, and the like), log files, and diagnostic, crash, website, and performance logs and reports.

This includes information such as hardware model, operating system information, browser information, IP address, mobile network information including phone number, and device identifiers. We collect device location information if you use our location features, such as when you choose to share your location with your contacts, view locations nearby or those others have shared with you, and the like, and for diagnostics and troubleshooting purposes such as if you are having trouble with our app’s location features.

Status Information.

We collect information about your online and status message changes on our Services, such as whether you are online (your “online status”), when you last used our Services (your “last seen status”), and when you last updated your status message.
